Ounces Or Grams, Which Do I Use

This is an important question to ask yourself.  Which is the best option to use for weighing all of your ingredients.   To me the answer is very simple and I will explain myself.

Personally I think grams are more accurate because there are 28 grams to the single ounce.   When using most traditional digital scales for weighing larger weights of ingredients it will weigh to the nearest ounce.   But keep in mind you can be over or under to the number of ounces you are aiming for without realizing it.  But with grams you might be over or under just a gram or two, so by doing so you are getting a more accurate reading.

To convert your recipe from grams to ounces simply use a calculator and multiply your number of ounces by 28 to get your grams.

However many still find it easier to think of their total batch weight in terms of ounces.  But when weighing out ingredients it's best to convert them into grams.
